Women
"The kindhearted woman gains respect..." Proverbs 11:16
Welcome to our home on the web. Whether you are looking for answers on your spiritual journey, looking for ways to connect with others on their own path, or looking for ways to be an encouragement to others - you are welcome here. Grab a cup of tea or java and let's get to know each other.
The Purpose
Women have unique needs. I imagine you know that and it may be part of the reason you are visiting our page. From work demands, to choosing the right schools for our children, to finding adult conversation during your child's toddler years, to health issues, to finding a listening ear when our children are grown and gone, to the age-old question, "What's for dinner?" - we are pulled in so many directions. Our purpose in having women's ministries is to help with these unique needs.
The Source
God's Word (the Bible) is the ultimate source of truth. It is a level to bring balance to our crazy, busy lives. Just as when the washing machine rumbles about when it is off balance, so our lives rumble and tumble about when we are in need of the balancing factor of the Word of God. As Deuteronomy 32:47 says, "They (the Words of God) are not just idle words for you - they are your life."
The Connection
We know that relationships today need something more than talking about the weather or Oprah. Women crave intimate relationships built upon truth and trust. We know that they can be found within a truly loving church family. From conferences, to Girl's Nights Out, to our women's Sunday School class, to our Sunday worship time together- we have many opportunities to make these connections.
The Harmony
Vicki Kraft says it well, "..women have needs only other women can meet." We recognize this and look forward to developing a mentoring program to encourage the kinds of relationships that will not only establish rich and fulfilling friendships but will lead us closer to the God of all truth and His wisdom for our lives. We know the wealth of knowledge that can be shared by a woman "who's been there" with a woman "who is in it."
