Our Team is off to Uganda!
We are very excited as a church to see what God is doing in other parts of the world. Through our connection with Rocky Mountain Bible Church, we have been invited to participate in the 2010 Mission trip to Uganda, Africa. Members of Living Stones Community Church are participating and are on their way to preach, teach, and encourage the people of Uganda with the gospel of Jesus Christ and truth of His Word.
Be in prayer for our team and those they will reach
As a church, Living Stones is directly supporting multiple students at the seminary in the Mbale region of Uganda. We are so excited to hear the reports from our team members as to how God is being glorified through the efforts there. We ask that the Living Stones church family continue to pray for safety for our team members and their effectiveness in ministry while they are there. The itinerary for the trip is available through THIS LINK so we can be praying specifically for the efforts there as they progress day-by-day. Please be in fervent prayer for the lives of those who will hear the Gospel, that they may come to knowledge and saving faith through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Here is a little more background on the trip and the ministries that are planned for this mission:
Purpose: This mission trip will be very similar to the one that RMBC has participated in the last 3 years. The emphasis of the trip will be hut-to-hut evangelism, church planting, open-air crusades, and evangelistic meetings at schools and prisons. We are planning to plant one church this year, hopefully in the ‘cluster’ area of Angalia, Namunyu and Busiu, and move forward with the planning for schools, clinics, orphanages leaving the ultimate determination of what and when to God.
Contact in Uganda: We will be working alongside the Mbale (P.C.U.) Church, pastored by Morris Ogenga. Under his direction, there have been around 80 churches planted in the Mbale region over the last 20 years. The church-planting pastors come out of the Bible college that is affiliated with the Mbale church.
