"There are diversities of gifts...there are differences of ministries...there are diversities of activities...but the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all" - 1 Corinthians 12:4-7
S.O.S. (Serving Other Saints)
The Bible tells us that every believer has been given a spiritual gift(s) for the purpose of ministering to the rest of the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:1-7). One of the gifts God has given is the gift of helps (1 Corinthians 12:28). The gift of helps conveys the idea of 'lending a hand' and it is the Spirit-given ability to serve the church in a supporting role by meeting temporal needs. The S.O.S. Board is one way we make some of these needs known. The following are opportunities to 'lend a hand':
We are looking for people to join our S.W.A.T. Team. S.W.A.T. stands for Set up, Welcome, And Tear
down our sound equipment, chairs, tables, etc. for our Sunday morning worship service; as well as welcome those who come. If you would like to be part of this team and serve others by
helping in this ministry once or twice a month, please talk to Pastor
Brian.
We are also looking for people to serve in the area of
communications (don't worry, this has nothing to do with public
speaking). Some of our communication needs are: managing the display table, developing and maintaining welcome packets, etc. If you have
an interest in serving in this vital ministry, talk to Pastor Brian.
