Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions FAQ
What is a Sunday gathering like?
We greatly value both traditional and modern worship. Our focus is upon modern worship, with a blending of traditional worship that connects us with the rich heritage of the Christian faith. Our worship time is typically upbeat and celebratory mixed with reflection and awe of our Almighty God.

What about my children?
Nursery, toddler, and pre-school children are well cared for. They participate during the worship service until the pastor brings the message. At this time (if you'd like), they go with qualified teachers who model God's character. They will have activities for their age in a safe and fun environment. You may also keep your little ones with you during the worship service. Visit our Children's Ministry page for more information.

What kind of dress is expected?
We're not a 'get dressed up' kind of church, but some of our people get dressed up. In other words, we're most concerned for people, not outward appearance. You will not be made to feel out of place, regardless of what you choose to wear.
|
What does your church believe?
We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word to communicate His plan of salvation and guide us in daily living. Click here for more information about our beliefs.
|
Will I have to say something, fill out a card, or be asked to give?
You will not be asked to say anything during the worship service or pointed out. That said, Living Stones is a friendly place and many people will introduce themselves and be grateful that you've come. A guest card will be offered to you for our records, but you are not required nor pressured to fill this out. Financial giving is promoted among the membership of Living Stones. You will not be expected to give, but are welcome to if so desired.
|
What are Home Groups?
Home Groups are a weekly connecting point for both those who are a part of Living Stones and those not a part of Living Stones, but interested in spiritual development. Our focus is on building relationships as we grow in faith together. Home groups are intergenerational, meaning all age groups participate from children through senior adults. If our present schedule or locations don't work for you, we will consider starting a new home group in your home.

How do I become a part of Living Stones?
God's leading for a church home is important. It is our desire to help you discern His will in this matter. To that end, we suggest you make your interest known to the Lead Pastor. You can visit our membership page for more information.

What kind of church is Living Stones?
|
Why is the church called 'Living Stones'?
The heartbeat of Living Stones is found in the Bible. 1 Peter 2:4-5 say, "As you come to Him, the Living Stone - rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to Him - you also, like living stones are being built into a spiritual house..." Though a church building is part of our future, we will always be about the people, not the building.

What is the story of Living Stones?
Pastor Troy and his wife Ginny began Living Stones as a small Bible study group in their home back in January 2001. In January 2002, the group moved to the community room in the local hospital. At the same time leadership training began in the community room at our local police station. In January 2003, the need for more space and the start up of Sunday School classes led us to begin renting the Bromley East Charter School, our present location.

What are some initial ways to get involved?
